What this is

Lobby Boy records what a group spent on a trip and works out who owes whom. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not move money, hold money, or process payments, and it is not a financial service. Settling up happens between you and the other people on your trip, by whatever means you choose.

The numbers are yours

Exchange rates are the ones you enter. We do not fetch rates and we do not correct the ones you supply. The arithmetic performed on your figures is intended to be exact, but the figures themselves — amounts, rates, who was included in a split — are your responsibility.

Any disagreement about who owes what is between the members of a trip. We are not a party to it and cannot adjudicate it.

Your account

You need an account, provided through Clerk. Keep your credentials to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

What you put in

You keep ownership of what you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and show it to the other members of your trip. Do not upload anything you have no right to share — including receipts containing other people's details you were not given permission to store.

Adding someone to a trip means they will see the expenses on it. Only invite people who should see them.

Availability

This is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or that data will be preserved indefinitely. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.

Ending it

You can stop using Lobby Boy at any time and ask for your account to be deleted at [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
